Years ago, my long-time friend and client, Herb Kelleher (the late CEO of Southwest Airlines), shared my talents would be best received as an entrepreneur, and that having my own consultancy would be best. At the time, I had been with him for years while the National Partner at Deloitte. I was nervous, but I will be forever grateful, for his encouragement eventually affected what he saw in me.
Today, 1 Reputation epitomizes what Herb and I used to discuss – a consultancy that is a true extension of myself and the great team I am surrounded by. For the last 18 months, I have struggled with a website that represents an extension of my 4 decades of dealing with the greatest leaders and companies in the world. A website that tries to share our “relational customization” approach while being very research-oriented.
The best firm I ever worked with was McKinsey – goodness they understood. So, when we embarked on this journey, my crazy requirements were to be “McKinseyish” yet epitomize the essence of 1 Reputation.
To that end, here is the unveiling of our website, with special thanks to Volcone, Brittny Tillman, Shelly Longnecker, Chanel Wilson, Tristan Longnecker, Leela Madan, and so many others that have proofed and reproofed more than a few times. I’m sure this will be the first of a very fluid process, but it’s a start, and I’m very proud of what it attempts to share about our story.
Thanks to all of you that have been part of this 40-year journey of trusting me, and the teams I’ve led, to prayerfully make you better. Thank you also to Herb for believing in me…he was everything they said and more.
